They call it a Democracy
But do they take us for fools:
No matter which  Party wins
The same unelected few rules
They think they control us
And there's nothing we can do
And if we just placidly let them
We make that supposition true.

We just need to get together
And let our true feelings out,
We can make a wall of noise
If we all stand and shout.
Confront them openly
With a barrage of sound
Tell them they serve us
And not the other way round.

They think we're quiescent,
Treat us with contempt
So we've got nothing to lose
By making the attempt
Next Election day
Don't just not vote
Write on your ballot paper
An openly critical note.

The leaders think we're pathetic,
Just treat us with disdain.
If we don't stand and take action
That's the way things will remain.
Little drops of water can
Grow into a great waterfall
Which can have the power
To smash and sweep away all.
